Welcome! I too love the lion cloud, and I sympathise with the poor tree. We have had a recent strong wind that brought down many trees and 'burnt' all the new leaves and flowers.
Lucy: I watched this cloud develope for half an hour as the storm moved in. This was the best shape it took.
Dragonstar: Thank you. They think there was a tornado close by but our area got the high winds. This tree has stood a lot of weather over the years as it is a lone soldier in an open field. The little tree it is leaning against is one of its seedlings that is about 3 years old. Kind of like a child helping out an injured parent...in a way.
Rita: Fortunately this is on business property so I suspect they will come along with a chainsaw and make short work of it...a four-trunked tree will become only three as an amputee.

Both great shots. I like the shadows in the first one, and the clouds are fantastic.

Those are good.
The second photo is, indeed, startling.

The winds did the same thing to the tree in our front yard a few days ago. We are still trying to figure out how to get it removed.
