The Weekend In Black And White

While in Ohio for Christmas, I had numerous opportunities to observe and photograph dozens of squirrels in my sister's backyard. Staking out ears of corn for them to eat provided some easy entertainment.

Dinner and a perch!
Your new header is great. Looks like the open maw of a prehistoric beast.

Things that make you say, "awww!"

The corn is a paramount idea. Your photography is so good, I can count every kernel of corn on the cob. As I sit at my computer, I can often watch them tight-rope walking across a wire in the alley.
Have a beautiful week-end.

Alex: Thanks. I took that header picture at Mill Hollow Park in Ohio. I thought it looked like a prehistoric something for sure.

Hilary: My sister got a new bird feeder for Christmas and we put it up that day. Between the squirrels and the birds there was plenty of winter wildlife around.

Elsie: He sat there and ate the whole thing of corn ignoring the snow as it fell harder and covered his entire back.

Manzanita: I got some really good photos of him eating the whole cob of corn. Then when I went out to help shovel the driveway I snapped a few more of one running the power lines in front of the house.

Hans: Thanks.

Monica: Thank you!

Carol: He was a willing model!

Really like this post. Bud and I have spent the week putting up new feeders for our squirrels and have some more to do today. I love the fellows, but would they prefer they do not eat our bird seed. I think squirrels are just the funnest guys to watch. genie

Amit: Thank you. I see your last picture was chosen for the display this week...congrats.

Robert: Thanks and you too!

Genie: When we put up my sisters new bird feeder we installed squirrel shields to keep them from being able to climb...plus the pole is skinny and slick...they jusr eat what the birds kick to the ground.

That's a perfect pose. The squirrels must be fun to watch - and a perfect photo-op!
