Devil's Tower? As in Close Encounters of the Third Kind.
Looks like melted butter in a skillet but the shape reminds me of a photo I once saw when Mount St. Helens erupted back in 1980.
Not even going to touch that one!
i see something dirty... but i am in a dirty mood. kind of looks like the devil's mountain from close encounters of the third kind.
'Tis an upside down mushroom (cloud). Or a gravestone. I suppose it could also be a severed thumb on a small velvet pillow.

Pat: I was not thinking that immediately upon seeing this but now that you mention it...could be.
Rita: You are just so down to earth and exactly right on with your guess!
Alex: We were probably thinking the same thing then. I put some butter in the skillet to make breakfast and went to get the eggs and stuff out of the fridge, when I came back and saw this my mind went south and then I had to take a picture! My brain went to the X-Rated end of the spectrum!

Nate: Those are intriguing answers...I get the upside down mushroom cloud as I eventually saw that too...but a severed thumb on a velvet pillow...Jung would have had a field day with you!!
