1. One of the coolest names for an Olympian - Ranomi Kromowidjojo
2. One of the hardest last names to grow up with (female Gold medal) - Poon
3. One of the hardest last names to grow up with (male Gold medal) - Tancock
4. Watching water polo, beach volley ball, and team volley ball is better at x60 speed on my DISH DVR
5. Womens beach volley on a hi-def TV is the equivalent of a soft-core porn Olympic event
6. Hardest looking sport I have no interest in watching - white-water kayaking
Okay, the first week is done and the list could be amended by the close of the games. Until then, here are some humorous and reflective graphs to entertain you...
Enjoy!
In honor of the Olympics. I found this extremely funny!
Wha-what???
Every friggin' time I am doing the dishes!!!
Oh grow up!
This is one of the most sobering graphs I have ever found...and speaks right back to the very first post I made when I started this site. We don't want to leave the rich...poor, so how about the good half the money would do?
BONUS GRAPH that made me go hummmm....
Is this a US store in Chinatown...or a Chinese store, ya know...in China?
Is your weekend as sweltering as mine? 105-degrees today and the news lady tried to make people feel better by saying A) "It's not going to be as hot as last year on this date.", and B) "We won't break the record for this date." Bitch. Doesn't she know that is redundant?
Stay thirsty my friends...

Great graphs! I'm all for Ninja as an Olympic sport. And totally agree with your number five observation.
Alex: Hey Ninja qualified for two spots...the solo NINJA and them the apaprently team-oriented NINJAS! You could medal twice!
Well Chuck I now know why my husband has been clued to the TV and girls volleyball.
I would have to add to your eye itch chart -- when under doctors orders to not rub your eye.
I just had cataract surgery and was told not to touch my eye so when does it want to itch. Why constantly since being told that.
By the way, Chuck, are you award I have two blogs? Each blog has a link to the other on the sidebar.
Rita: I had the same issue when I had Lasik eye surgery...I was paranoid I was going to inadvertently rub my eye and peel that little corner flap right off!
I didn't realize you had two blogs...or maybe I just wasn't paying attention. Thanks for the tip Rita!
Hi Chuck .. these are great aren't they - love the Olympic 'logos' - what people come up with .. and I often think if only someone wealthy would do something useful for others - yet they've worked hard to succeed - and it's always possible .. so it's a two way thought - some could help themselves, many can't at this time of crisis. Some take, some give - the givers deserve help ...
Remind me not to have eye surgery .. itching sounds a challenge.
Cheers and have a good week - the graphs are fun .. Hilary
I am changing my name to Poon Tancock.
Wow, that 11Things is just mind-blowing! And it's hot here, too. Upper 90's in a place that rarely gets above 72. Add in the humidity & it's miserable. Good thing it only lasted 2 days & occurred during Seattle's biggest festival of the year: SeaFair. So nobody really minded much.
I rooted for Kromowidjojo solely because of her name. And I'm pretty sure the ninjalympic events already happened; NBC just has no idea.
Seriously, if not for the Olympics, most people (including me wouldn't have any idea what they are). I've seen women's beach volleyball in person, but it's much better in HD!
