1. Cowboys are not in the Super Bowl and therefore cannot claim to the first team to play a home game Super Bowl. His biggest dream when he built the biggest stadium.
2. Monday night started off the week with a winter ice and snow storm (mostly ice) and frigid temperatures (see post from a couple days ago).
3. Temps continued into the single digits rendering every road in Dallas a bumper-car or demolition derby (depending on speed) adventure. Only the idiots ventured out.
4. Last night dumped anywhere from 5 to 8 inches of snow on the entire metroplex and to the east Texas area. Snow over ice on the roads. This virtually shut the city down. The news ran nothing but weather for 6 straight hours bumping even the Today Show.
5. The sun came out for 4 1/2 minutes in Arlington (God's sense of humor) and that combined with no bone-chilling wind and the heat being on in Cowboys Stadium proceeded to turn the roof of said stadium into a giant slip and slide of ice and snow. Giant shards of ice slid down the roof curve and plummeted 290 feet to the ground injuring 6 people severely.
6. Tonight anything that melted to slush is going to freeze where it lies and create a driving nightmare tomorrow morning...AGAIN, for those who have to.
7. The financial bonanza that was predicted for this week is dwindling day by frozen day. And Jerry wanted a legacy of Super Bowls in his stadium.
I guess even the rich don't get what they want all the time...and they can't control Karma or Mother Nature! (I believe even now Jerry has scientists devising his own Sun so this can never happen again.)
On the lighter side, my dogs enjoyed the hell out of the snow day! See this video I made:

the Cowboys may be America's team, but the don't seem to be Mother Nature's team!
I LOVED the video. those dogs are so darn cute! they were having a blast!
Nice of you to put sweaters on your dogs. Yeah, had to laugh at Jerry's claim - gotta make the playoffs first, dude.
Sorry you're buried in snow.
Your doggies are adorable. Glad they
like the snow, but I was worried you almost lost them there. They REALLY enjoy the snow.

They had an absolute blast in the snow. Now it's gone.
Alex: Gotta keep em warm on those cold Texas days. I don't feel a bit sorry for Jerry. And the snow is gone!
Robyn: They really are two great dogs. They play together really well...just like kids.
