Today's Apocalypse Sign: The Weekend In Black And White

A couple months ago I made my first trip to Jerry's World Theme Park  (aka Cowboys Stadium). All I was packing that day was my little Olympus Stylus Tough - 8010 point-and-shoot. It takes some decent pictures with some in camera effects. One I used several times that day was the "fish eye". This shot is a good one of this humogous monument to sports excess...from the top of the world!

Not a bad seat in the house!

Hey Chuck
WOW-EE Art in a bowl. Really neat pictures. I've always only had b/w photos in my house. I had a neat dark room but then digital came along and put me right outta business. (Not a business, really) I love black and white.

That is a really awesome shot! Yes, it really is Jerry World. Now the Cowboys can lose in style.

Your little camera did a fine job of capturing the mood in the stadium before the game. Football has become an American obsession. Well done.

Jill: Thanks. Even though I live in Dallas I am an always will be a Packer fan!

Manzanita: I used to develope my own film back in the day...now is so much easier! I love B&W shots and take a lot of them.

Birgitta: Thanks for taking a look.

Alex: I cannot say I am sorry for the Cowboys misfortune this year. But this stadium is a magnificent place.

Robert: Thank you for stopping by.

Dragonstar: I wanted to take my Nikon but since it was my first visit there and I read on the website you could not bring in cameras with a lens more than 3 inches long, I took the Olympus. Then I get there and see several with longer lenses. Worked out though!

Hans: Thanks again!

TFG: Yes it did the job that day. And it is a serious obssession I'm afraid. Thanks for stopping by.

Carver: Even with the fisheye setting I couldn't get the whole thing!
