The Weekend In Black And White

In the spirit of the Christmas season this weeks B&W submission is the roaring fire of the Christmas fireplace. It feels "hotter" in color but turned out pretty cool in black and white. Final Friday of 2012 so Happy New Year!

Christmas Fire

It's pretty easy spending about a hundred shots when shooting fire...it is always changing

OOOU La La..My kind of picture. B/W was the only kind of picture I had on my wall. We can find such neat shots right in our own home.

Love black and white. Well done sir. But I missed the riddle part you mentioned.

Manzanita: Yes, and being away from MY home makes me look at some things with new eyes.

Hans: Thanks for stopping by as always.

Carver: I took dozens of shots over the period of a couple hours. Fire is an amazing and difficult subject but lots of fun.

Jill: Thanks!!

Alex: Thanks for coming by while you're on your Christmas break.

Whisk: You missed the riddle because the post I referred to is not scheduled until tomorrow. I am holiday hung over I guess!!

Robert: Thank you and wishing the same to you and yours.

Nancy: I think B&W is very symbolic and distills pictures down to their essence.

Laura: Thank you.

Bia: Happy New Year to you! Thanks.
