This may not be the best lightning strike ever but it was miraculous to me. I stepped out side during a pre-storm light show and hand-held my camera, snapping this shot on the very first picture...for the next 20 minutes I chased another well-timed shot across the sky and never caught another one!

Wow! That is an awesome shot Chuck! I've tried a million times and never come up with something like this! Good one!
I think it's miraculous. It's arranged itself in such stylish place on the page - and it's beautiful too.
That is very beautiful:)

That's actually an incredible shot. I feel as though a poem or some form of writing on the left of the picture would compliment the photo quite nicely.
Wow! I've never succeeded to catch the lightning! Very cool shot!
:)
Not good to be standing too close to a lightening strike, but it makes for a great image. Glad you escaped without getting hit.
Fantastic indeed.
I'm too afraid to capture one.

Absolutely AMAZING photography. Kudos to you. genie
What a great capture!!! I've tried too and never gotten a single strike!!! Well done!
Well done! I've never managed to catch lightning on camera. Really good.
This shot goes past luck to destiny.
Pat: I had about fifteen more shots that night all mis-times and washed out flashes. This is the second lightning strike I have ever caught.
Lucy: I am just glad it made it on the scene! Thanks Lucy.
Ma: Thanks
HanHB: I appreciate it.
Annemor: Yes that is very true.
Chiz: You have a point there...I might give that a try. Thanks dude.
Monica: I chase it every time the conditions are right (lots of strikes and no rain falling). It is tough to catch.
Taken: The strikes were quite far away but very plentiful. No danger for me.
Robert: Thank you sir.
Lina: They were a ways away and I had my back against a building so pretty safe shooting.
Amit: Thank you my friend.
Mariane: Yes it is...also makes you keep coming back for more!
Genie: Awww...now I am embarassed!
Chieftess: All I can say is keep trying...even when your hand becomes a claw and your eye is blurring from the wait. Thanks!
Dragonstar: Thank you. And double thanks for featuring my steel roses...I am honored.
Kathy: Thank you Ma'am.
Dimple: Well hopefully I am destined to get another!
