Very late in getting this out so I'll just say here it is!!! No links this week...sorry.
The winners this week:
1. Flash And The Pan - Hey St Peter (from their fantastic 1978 album full of all great songs)
2. Elton John - All The Girls Love Alice (Yellow Brick Road is my favorite EJ album. Love every song on it. This being one of my favs...and a very interesting subject for the mid-70's) Moog synth ruled the 70's!
3. Creed - One (this band was great right out of the gate. This song off their 1997 debut album My Own Prison demonstrates why.)
4. Foghat - Honey Hush (my post-highschool years were filled with lots of Foghat!)
5. Korn - Freak On A Leash (first Korn song I ever heard...loved it. Not completely into all their music but they have some really good and imaginative stuff)
Well a mixed set to be sure. Feedback always welcome. Do you have a favorite Yellow Brick Road track? Ever listen to Flash And The Pan.

Hey Chuck! Sorry you missed the blogfest on Monday.
Damn Alex, I completely forgot about it! I left some info in the comments on your entry. I feel bad I have missed two of yours in a row.
You took me back to my childhood with Korn and Creed. I remember seeing that Korn video so much when that song first came out. Good times. I also love Elton John, Tiny Dancer is my favorite song. Never heard of Flash and the Pan.
Hi Chuck .. music to my ears - I need an education! Once I get settled in a few weeks I think I need to start updating myself ... Cheers Hilary
PTM: Childhood?? Now I understand you a little better knowing you were raised on Korn and Creed. That is pretty strong stuff for a developing brain!
Hilary: I am sure you are a Sir Elton fan from way back!
I'm drawing blank on Flash in the Pan, but love the rest of them.
That Elton John album was amazing, but not my favorite. For me, it is Tumbleweed Connection. The entire album had a country tilt to it. Come to think of it, I love pretty much all the albums up to (and including) Caribou. After that, it was about 20 albums of average and a bunch of movie soundtracks.
