I have always been hypercritical of my photography, especially shots that I thought were somewhat good. So tonight I cast that fear aside and post my photography for all to see!
The original photo I had as a header to this blog came from an afternoon, late December walk, in northern Ohio circa 2008. I was home for Christmas and with snow on the ground I wanted to get some shots out behind my mother's house where a triple set of tracks separates two neighborhoods. I wanted to shoot some black and white and some limited color shots.
When I gave out my EOD award the other day, I got a comment from Lucy at
Pictures Just Pictures. She remarked on how she had liked the original header I had on this blog and hoped I would bring it back some day. I told her I would share some of those pictures and now here they are:

I hope you have enjoyed these...I know it's weird looking at winter pictures in the heat of summer!

Cool idea for a blog! I'm enjoying your "signs" and I'm glad you put aside your fear, for the pictures are excellent! Well done!
Nice photos Chuck!
Trains and train tracks make great subjects!
Keep snapping!
Your winter pictures were soooo welcome in this heat and humidity! The track images are superb! :)
The second photo would make a cool header. And appreciate snow in August!
I am waiting for that first leaf to fall. I cannot wait for the next season. I love winter. Awesome pics.
Love those pics. For some reason it screams a Coen Brothers' movie to me.
Neil: Sorry it took so long to respond but I appreciate your kind words and glad you are here!
Pat: You comment means a lot to me in light of the quality of shots on your blog. I've got some shot of the Mormon Tabernacle I'll post next week.
Alex: At the next change, that will be the one then. Thanks.
WVW: I am about ready to pass out from the heat today. I have in the A/C for tha last 4 hours and still can't get cool...I agree that I could use a little winter right now too!
CB: That is a high compliment as I absolutely LOVE all their movies...curiously my wife does not "get" them.
Pat was right. He always is. (Darn him!) Your blog's a good thing. I'm following along.

Robyn: I have been meaning to check out your blog and I have not done so...that is so bad of me. You follow a lot of the same ones I read so that should be a tip-off to read yours. I will be there this week. Thanks for joining the nuthouse! And Pat has been almost always right since I have been following him.
Great pictures. Winter in August looks good, even to this Up North Dweller...
