Alex: I would love to have had that crab chair it was badass and comfortable. A lot of hand carved and sculpted items around the resort.
Pat: Yes they are made in the villages. All the wooden items were amazingly detailed. I will ppost a picture of the mask our friend got us as an anniversary present...it is too cool, and weighs a ton for its size.
$2800 per person for airfare from LAX round trip plus the resort and all inclusive meals for a week. Beer and mixed drinks were extra but we all bought duty-free in LA so we had our own bar! Just bought the mixers either at the Nadi airport or at the resort. Not bad considering you can look up roundtrip airfare alone of over two grand when not a package deal.

The artwork is really cool. Couldn't have the crab in my house though. In the middle of the night, it would freak me out.
Amazing carvings. I'm assuming they are done locally? What a beautiful place you visited. Maybe someday for me as well...
