Even though I have I been kind of MIA for the last few weeks (apologies around) I could not fail to do my small part in promoting my friends latest (and possibly the greatest) sci-fi novel....CassaFire!
Alex, I can't wait to read this book, as you know, and I have mentioned it to all my off-line friends and family who are into this genre. I wish you nothing but the bestest and fastest ride to the top of the charts! I look forward to your next installment and really really look forward to the movie series.
Keep rockin', Ninja Alex!

CassaFire
by Alex J. Cavanaugh
CassaStar was just the beginning…
The Vindicarn War is a distant memory and Byron’s days of piloting Cosbolt fighters are over. He has kept the promise he made to his fallen mentor and friend - to probe space on an exploration vessel. Shuttle work is dull, but it’s a free and solitary existence. The senior officer is content with his life aboard the Rennather.
The detection of alien ruins sends the exploration ship to the distant planet of Tgren. If their scientists can decipher the language, they can unlock the secrets of this device. Is it a key to the Tgren’s civilization or a weapon of unimaginable power? Tensions mount as their new allies are suspicious of the Cassan’s technology and strange mental abilities.
To complicate matters, the Tgrens are showing signs of mental powers themselves; the strongest of which belongs to a pilot named Athee, a woman whose skills rival Byron’s unique abilities. Forced to train her mind and further develop her flying aptitude, he finds his patience strained. Add a reluctant friendship with a young scientist, and he feels invaded on every level. All Byron wanted was his privacy…

CassaFire is the sequel to Cavanaugh’s first book, CassaStar, an Amazon Top Ten Best Seller:
“…calls to mind the youthful focus of Robert Heinlein’s early military sf, as well as the excitement of space opera epitomized by the many Star Wars novels. Fast-paced military action and a youthful protagonist make this a good choice for both young adult and adult fans of space wars.” - Library Journal

Chuck, you are awesome! So glad you won a copy. Thanks for your endless encouragement and support. You rock!
Oh yeah! I got mine today on my Kindle. Hope to start it a little later tonight. You're a good guy Chuck...
looks great!
Alex: Thanks again, man...I told my wife and she was even excited. I lent a friend of mine my copy of CassaStar (I know it's not a sale but...)I told him he will have to buy CassaFire on his own! I'm just like a crack dealer...taste for free then you pay!!!
Pat: Good for you! Can you believe I actually won a copy...crazy days. Promise you post any spoilers, okay?
Baygirl: Long time no see...how ya been? If you are any kind of fan of sci-fi you gotta read both of Alex's books...the first one will hook you for the second. Think Top Gun meets Star Wars and you'll know there is action and suspense! Alex is a really good writer.
