I was over at my friend Alex J Cavanaugh's fine blog and saw he was having a book giveaway. In addition to wanting another copy, I wanted to help spread the word (in the spirit of the season) on the essence of his first book and promotion of his newest book and sequel to ---- CassaStar.
CassaFire will be released Feb 28th and I am super stoked that this sequel will be here soon. I am convinced and have told Alex on numerous occasions that CassaStar absolutely should be made into a movie. George Lucas where are you???
Anyway, read the teaser below and click the link above to hop over to Alex's site and pay him a visit. Warning: if you go you will be sucked into the Ninja Army and ya know that's forever, right? Following him is a good thing. Go anyway.
Pass the word and get your chance to win a copy of one of the best scifi books I have read in a while. You will not be disappointed. Now go...wait, read this first>>>>>
From Alex hisself, the following:
CassaStar
To pilot the fleet’s finest ship…
Few options remain for Byron, a talented young man with a troubled past and rebellious attitude. Slated to train as a Cosbolt pilot, Byron is determined to prove his worth and begin a new life. Much to his chagrin, Bassa, the toughest instructor in the fleet, takes notice of the young pilot. As war brews on the edge of space, Byron requires a navigator of exceptional quality to survive. Bassa must make a decision that could well decide the fate of both men. Will their skills be enough as they embark on a mission that may stretch their abilities to the limit?
“…calls to mind the youthful focus of Robert Heinlein’s early military sf, as well as the excitement of space opera epitomized by the many Star Wars novels. Fast-paced military action and a youthful protagonist make this a good choice for both young adult and adult fans of space wars.” - Library Journal
Available in all eBook forms and at Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and Amazon UK.
If sucked into CassaStar… I’d be Byron. (I mean really, who else who I be?) If made into a movie, Byron would be played by Chris Pine.

Thanks, Chuck - you the man!!!!
I know this is nothing to do with the post - but impressed by your new style blog set-up. Very flash! Might prove a little tiring on the eyes for long articles but you can chop and change.
In case I'm not back before it happens - enjoy your last Christmas. What a thought! Better make it a good one!
Esther
Alex: Glad to do what I can...I support the talented and you are!
Esther: Thanks Esther! Please feel free to give more detail on what would be tiring on the eyes. Are you talking about the blur on the picture or the template? The picture will be gone after the holiday season. (But knowing me I'll probably do something just as painful!) Have a Happy Christmas!
I'm right there with you on CassaStar. I loved it think it would make a great movie. I also can't wait for the the next book!
I hope you and your wife have great Christmas.
Pat: You are your family have a merry Christmas too! Can't wait to see the pics from your next road trip.
